Lock up your ATVs, your golf carts, your big travel trailers, or your construction trailers with The Club Tire Claw XL. The first thing I notice right out of the box one we get three keys, but look at these keys. I don't think anybody's gonna be able to pick this. I think that's really cool. And they look really cool as well. You use this to unlock it, which spreads the claw out.
This is gonna work with any tire up to 12 inches wide. So once you put it up here, it clicks in for you. So once it's unlocked and you widen it out you don't have to have those keys anymore. We do have a door here which is much better than just a rubber cover cause those just eventually stretch out. And this is just a nice little door which seals it up nice just to keep it nice and clean.
This is a great way to deter theft. One, it's nice and bright and red. So the whole goal here is just to have these locking devices in place. So the thief walks on past your stuff and maybe goes to somebody else that doesn't have it. So this is gonna prevent your wheel from turning.
If you go all the way up here and they try to back this thing up, it's gonna tear some stuff up, but then once it hits that ground, it's not really gonna go anywhere. It's gotta breakthrough all this steel and it's all made of steel. And even if you did, maybe just forget that it's on there it's not really gonna scratch it up too bad as long as you stop in time cause it does have a powder coated finish but they also dip the ends with rubber. So these wheels, aluminum, they're gonna scratch easy. With this, We don't have to worry about it scratching.
I have messed with all of the wheel locks on our website. Where this one falls, I would definitely say it's my second choice. The reason I say that is I like how it operates. It's very quick and easy to use. It's not gonna scratch my wheels. But the only reason why it's number two on my list is because Trimax does make one that is gonna be a wheel chock as well. So with this, you're gonna need to also chock up your wheels to prevent it from rolling. This right here is only for a theft deterrent. That's the only reason why the Trimax one wins, just because it's the best of both worlds. But this one does operate a lot better. And that's pretty much it, a very simple and easy thing to do to give you peace of mind whenever your stuff is not in sight..

Doesn't fit on the wheel of my trailer it's useless
This lock is easy to use, weathers well, and gives me a sense of security wherever the trailer is parked.

the tire claw seem to work good, not to keen on the the the protector plate goes on. screws are not self treading. maybe the holes could be pre-drilled.

Exactly as advertised. Fits well. I didn't use the lug nut protector though. It seemed to fit better without it. The lug nut protector may be more useful on a bigger tire. Mine was 225/75 R15.
Installing the lug nut plate was not nice, they sent the screw that attaches the plate to the club arm, and instructions simply say to drill a 6 mm hole in the arm, but doesn't say anything about tapping the hole for the screw to screw in. If i wasn't mechanically adept and already knew how to do these sort of things, I would be SOL.
Otherwise, I like the device.

Seems to be as advertised should deter most thieves/ wish the cover plate was all ready mounted..but nice unit
I have two complaints about this product. 1) The plate which covers up the lug nuts does not come ready to assemble. A 6 mm hole must be drilled into the the claw. Lame. If you are that handy with tools, save yourself some money by cutting and drilling your own flat plate--that is all it is. 2) This lock comes with three keys and it is not possible to get extras. I am notorious for losing keys so I called Club to get extras--they said they didn't have any--I'd have to get them from a lock smith. And the two locksmiths I talked to said I'd have to get them from the company.
With over 700 car thefts in Toronto for the month of January 2023 we decided to add protection for our BMW X5. The Claw will do double duty to also protect our Jayco Travel trailer when camping.
We like the beefy build of the Claw as well as the visual deterrent to make a thief to consider an alternative vehicle.
We were disappointed with the lug protector. The protector is not a add on piece you just install. You need to drill a hole into the claw and tap the hole so you can screw the lug protector in place.
Overall, we are confident that the claw and lug nut protector will provide an additional lay of protection from opportunistic theft.
We have used etrailer for multiple products. As a Canadian we find the service, shipping and product selection to be excellent and strongly endorse etrailer as a parts supplier.
I bought the Club wheel lock for my trailer. The fork to the rear of the tire does not properly clear the brake disk assembly, therefore the Club unit mounts crooked. This makes it impossible to use the lug nut plate. I am resigned to using just the Club attachment.
Had my trailer locked up on the job site with two locks on the trailer. They were able to remove the locks in the trailer was stolen.
